Rudolf Stefan Rampf
Rudolf Stefan Rampf is a violinist, conductor and teacher. He was taught as a violinist at Stuttgart, Hannover, Vienna and Munich Conservatories. He learnt conducting in Mannheim and Hailbronn under the guidanse of famous professors. In 1978 he founded a musical ensemble «Junge Kammerensemble Baden-Wurttemberg» and for many years was its conductor. As a soloist and conductor he has performed in Europe, Asia and the USA. Since 1988 he has been the conductor of the string department at Music school in Tettnanga and a professor of State Conservatory in Trossingem (Germany). Rudolf Rampf is an organizer and participant of significant German-Russian music projects. In 1995 took part as a conductor in the symphony orchestra of the Rachmaninov Institute. In 1996 was a conductor of the united Russian-German symphony orchestra during the XV International Rachmaninov Festival (Tambov). Within German-Russian cooperation he organized tours for the united Russian-German orchestra to Germany (1997, 1998, 2002), master classes for students in Tambov (2007). He was awarded the title of Honorary Professor by the Rachmaninov Institute for significant contribution to the development of international affairs of the Rachmaninov Institute and productive educational work with students.
